General Requirements for Marriage Formalities in Indonesia
Copy of letter signed by a priest stating that a religious ceremony according to their respective belief has been performed.
A widow/widower must present a copy of the death certificate of the former spouse. In case of a divorce, a divorce certificate must be presented.
A letter, legalized by the respective embassy or consulate general in Indonesia, certifying that there is no objection to getting married in Indonesia (certificate of no impediment to marriage in Indonesia).
Copy of birth certificate.
Copy of passport.
Details of full names, addresses, professions of the witnesses (two witnesses are required). Hotel can provide witnesses if required.
Copy of the registration form of the hotel they are staying at.
A letter signed by both parties certifying that their marriage is based on a mutual agreement.
Color photographs 6x4 cm (8 pieces) of couple side by side in same photo.
Couple must give notice of their intention to the register of marriage in the district where the marriage is to be performed. This notice must be given at least 10 working days prior to the marriage.
Other requirements according to Indonesia marriage laws.
All above requirements must be received by the hotel at least 3 weeks prior to the planned wedding date.
